GURGAON, India -- BPL Mobile Limited, Mumbai’s leading cellular service provider, today announced the award of a one-year network expansion contract for USD 20 million, to Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. (“Huawei”), a leader in providing next generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world. We endeavor to help the operator to achieve more business success with our innovative and customized products and services.”

The contract will play a significant role in the company’s planned roll out for pan-Mumbai GSM network expansion, that seeks to extend its next generation convergent (voice, data and video) digital network to over 1.3 million subscribers in Mumbai city alone. BPL Mobile, as a company is recently rejuvenated and refreshed the BPL Mobile brand following a substantial investment of Rs. 200 crores (Around USD 50 million) in major network expansion and technology up-gradation.
