BURLINGTON, Mass. -- Bluesocket Inc., (www.bluesocket.com) -- the leading vendor of open-systems Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) management and security solutions today announced it is recruiting additional personnel for key positions in Bluesocket offices and field operations in North and South America, Asia and Europe.

"In order to address the needs of enterprise customers and support our channel of 180 VARs and Systems Integrators in 40 countries worldwide, Bluesocket is actively looking to hire sales and marketing professionals with solid experience in the wireless networking industry," said Bob Darabant, VP of Worldwide Sales.

Bluesocket had strong sales momentum in Q3-2003, picking up 160 new enterprise customers and significant repeat businesses as companies, universities and hospitals and public venues like conference centers, airports and hotels are rolling out WLANs throughout their organizations.

A recent survey by Nemertes Research reported that 92% of IT executives indicated that they are using or planning to use wireless LAN technology.

"Although interest in WLANs continues to rise, security concerns are the No. 1 reason IT executives are delaying WLAN expansions," says Robin Gareiss, principal research officer of Nemertes Research. "Bluesocket addresses those security issues head-on."

"Bluesocket is enjoying steady interest and sales to large enterprises deploying wireless LANs. Proven sales performers who can work with our channel partners to close business in corporations, government, healthcare and manufacturers are invited to apply," said Darabant.
