Avaya appoints Mark Wilson as chief marketing officer

BASKING RIDGE, N.J. -- Avaya appoints Mark Wilson, former Sybase Senior Vice President, Corporate and Field Marketing to Chief Marketing Officer.
Mark Wilson joins Avaya as CMO in the Santa Clara, CA office. Today, Avaya announced the appointment of Mark Wilson as Chief Marketing Officer based in the company's growing Santa Clara, CA location. Formerly Senior Vice President of corporate and field marketing at Sybase (an SAP company), Wilson was named one of B2B Magazine's Best Marketers in 2011, 2010 and 2009.
Wilson brings extensive industry expertise to Avaya based on 17 years of experience in marketing roles at AT&T, KPMG and Sybase. In his most recent role at Sybase, Wilson oversaw branding and advertising, corporate communications, lead generation, sales enablement, and mobile product marketing functions. Previously, he co-led the strategy practice at KPMG Consulting's Information, Communication and Entertainment Group, and was a marketing manager in AT&T's Business Solutions Group.
