BROOMFIELD, Colo. -- Alticast will feature 3 product demonstrations at the 2011 International CES:

Software for Blu-Ray Disc™ Players and Connected Devices

Alticast’s Blu-ray Disc software, which was selected by Intel® for its powerful Atom™ CE 4100 platform, is used by the Sony Internet TV Blu-ray Disc Player, the worlds first Blu-ray Disc player powered by Google TV. The groundbreaking player was selected by CES as an Innovations 2011 Design and Engineering Awards BEST OF INNOVATIONS (best in class) honoree in the Online Audio/Video Content product category. The demo will show how Alticast’s Blu-ray Disc Java (BD-J) middleware is being used by an expanding range of devices, powered by the Intel Atom CE 4100 platform, to provide a better Blu-ray Disc experience.

Monetizing Social Media Applications

Alticast’s new altiConnect™ Social Media Platform allows TV viewers to interact with Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare campaigns using their remote control. This innovation enables advertisers, operators and programmers to extend their online social media campaigns directly to the TV - the user device that provides them with their greatest audience reach. The altiConnect demo at CES will provide examples of the customizable, “one-click” Social RFI applications that may be used by programming networks, operators and advertisers to build their brands and market specific products and services.
