Dan Frydenlund, previously managing director of the Sturm Group, joins Adaptix as chief financial officer

SEATTLE -- ADAPTIX, Inc., a leader in software defined, all-IP broadband wireless access technologies, today announced Dan Frydenlund has joined the company as chief financial officer. Frydenlund brings extensive financial management experience in emerging technology markets and in international business development.

Prior to ADAPTIX, Frydenlund was managing director of the Sturm Group, Inc. where he was instrumental in the growth and success of several start-up companies and led the turn-around of a $500 million private equity fund. In this position, Frydenlund held active management roles including membership on the boards of directors with 15 operating companies.
Before the Sturm Group, Frydenlund was executive vice president and CFO of Hostmark World, LTD based in London, and Formus Communications Europe, Inc., based in The Hague Netherlands. During his tenure he was instrumental in raising more than $1 billion of equity and debt, and successfully negotiated the merger of Hostmark World, LTD with Worldport Holdings.
Previously, Frydenlund operated two mobile communications companies in Latin America and Eastern Europe, and was one of the first financial professionals for OneComm, a wireless carrier based in Denver, Colorado which went public in 1993 and was acquired by Nextel in 1994.
