Messaging and charging company Acision appoints Louis Corrigan as chief technical officer

BRISTOL, U.K. -- Acision today announces the appointment of Louis Corrigan as Chief TechnicalOfficer (CTO), with Corrigan assuming the position immediately. Acision isthe messaging and charging company of choice for over 300 network operatorsand service providers worldwide. As CTO, Corrigan will be responsible fordefining and communicating Acision's technology strategy.

With over 25 years' experience in the telecoms industry, Corrigan has spentthe last few years in the CTO role of Accuris Networks. Prior to that heheld the position of CTO with both Mobile Cohesion and Logica MobileNetworks where he was responsible for the development of technical strategyand the introduction of new products and technologies. He has also heldsenior technical and consulting roles in Aldiscon, PKI and Retix.

Having worked within the telecoms industry for so many years, Corrigan hasbeen involved in the definition, standardisation, development, and initialdeployment of a large number of network technologies. His experienceincludes extensive work with mobile operators to evolve new ideas and withstandard industry bodies including ETSI, WAP Forum, OMA and 3GPP. Corriganwas heavily involved in the development and deployment of the firstcommercial SMS products.
