(NASDAQ:MSPD), a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions for network infrastructure applications, today announced that Teleca, an international information technology services company, has developed complete voice-over-IP gateway modules integrating Mindspeed's Comcerto processor and software on behalf of a large manufacturer for enterprise-class PBX systems.

With more than 3,000 employees, the company operates in 16 countries in Asia, Europe and North America. Teleca has a long history of telecommunications expertise and is recognized as a key partner by telecommunications operators, handset manufacturers and network equipments providers.

Mindspeed's Comcerto architecture is optimized for VoIP applications with separate signal and packet processors. It integrates high-performance DSP cores and a packet-processing engine with industry-standard streaming packet interfaces to provide a high-density VoIP and voice-over-ATM system on a single chip.

Comcerto processors can also be combined with other open-source software applications to provide developers with an embedded platform for creating a wide variety of new services and capabilities.
