NEW YORK -- Metromedia Fiber Network,
Inc. (MFN) (Nasdaq: MFNX - news), the leader in deployment of optical IP
Internet infrastructure within key metropolitan areas domestically and
internationally, reported first quarter results for the period ended
March 31, 2001.
Revenues for the quarter ended March 31, 2001 increased 141% to $77.0
million, compared with $31.9 million reported for the quarter ended
March 31, 2000.
Revenues exceeded previous Company guidance of $74.0 million.
