Metrobility Optical Systems supplies Telum in Mexico with optical Ethernet access solutions

MERRIMACK, N.H. -- Metrobility Optical Systems announced today that Telum, a leading IP multi-service carrier in Latin America, has ordered the Radiance Optical Ethernet System for its metro access applications. The company will be installing Metrobility's Radiance 5000 and 400 models configured with a variety of 100Mbps optical Ethernet access line cards to provide managed, high availability cable and Ethernet services to their broad base of customers. Telum has installed over 1,300 kilometers of optical fiber and last mile technology to provide the most modern services of data transmission to the enterprise market in Monterrey, Mexico and its metropolitan area. Telum expects to install over a million dollars of access technology in its network within this year. "We were impressed with the WAN management capabilities of the Radiance product," states Victor Tella, Technology Manager.
