Wistrom will design DSLAMs based on Metalink's quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) version of VDSL

YAKUM, Israel -- Metalink Ltd., a leader provider of high performance broadband access chipsets, today announced that Wistron Corp. (formerly Acer Inc.'s Design, Manufacturing, and Services operation), has selected Metalink’s QAM four band standard compliant VDSL products Geryon and Xanthus-II for its IP DSLAM Product Family. This will be an addition to Wistron’s wide portfolio of broadband products supporting the convergence of voice, video and data including DSL and Ethernet access.
