YAKUM, Israel -- Metalink Ltd. (Nasdaq: MTLK), a global provider and developer of high performance wireline and wireless broadband communication silicon solutions, today announced that Mr. J. Francois Crepin will cease to serve as the Company's President and Member of the Office of the CEO.

Mr. Crepin, who has served as President for five years, decided to leave the Company as of February 2005, to pursue other business opportunities. Until February 2005, Mr. Crepin will continue to support the Company as an advisor to the CEO.

"As my tenure at Metalink draws to a close, I want to take the opportunity to thank all of you for your support over the last five years. It has been an honor to have been professionally associated with Metalink whose teamwork has accomplished so much!

"I take some measure of personal pride in many of the more recent accomplishments of this Company, not the least of which being the successful initial and secondary public offerings that supplied the Company with much needed working capital.

Mr. Cates is an industry veteran with over 25 years of experience in the telecom semiconductor sector. Prior to joining Metalink, Mr. Cates held executive level positions at Solarflare, Peregrine Semiconductor and Connexant Systems, among others.
