Device limitations
Unlike DirecTV Now/AT&T TV Now, this new AT&T TV offering is not supported on a lot of devices out of the chute.

While DirecTV Now currently supports, Roku players, Apple TV and Fire TV devices, Google Chromecast streamers and TVs, newer Samsung smart TVs, and Android and IoS mobile devices and web browsers, the new AT&T TV service initially supports the operator-supplied Android TV client box and apps for smartphones and tablets.

Per Cord Cutters News, the AT&T TV service bundles in one Android TV box, but additional ones cost $10 per month or can be purchased for $120. No word yet on if/when AT&T TV will be available through third-party retail TV-connected streaming devices or with apps on smart TVs -- JB
