Footprint reduction
There are some stats on footprint reduction here:

https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Reduction+effort+between+Casablanca+and+Dublin

The move from Debian version of Linux to Alpine cut the memory requirement in half. A further 15% of memory reduction can be achieved with Dublin (vs Casablanca) by using a lite implementation without all the modules. Bringcom has done an implementation with an even smaller footprints (e.g. small enough to run on a single server bare metal VM for cloud) by being even more selective in which modules to use.
