Thanks, Mitchell22. 5G is like the onion that you keep peeling only to find new layers. I've rarely seen a technology with so many layers of complexity.

Thanks for your input. I'm wondering whether telcos and other fiber network providers generally face similar ROE hurdles? Seems like another one of those nagging obstacles that 5G must overcome.

Excellent article, but you miss an important fact. MSO fiber typically terminates on private property. With respect to non-residential Right of Entry (ROE) rights obtained from multi-tenant commercial building owners, rarely do Cable operators acquire the needed space and power rights to support 5G and small cells. This fact means that most of these existing ROEs will need to be amended and new ones will require a new set of demands placed on commercial property owners that they will need to approve.
