Re: Well??!
Disagree. Nokia and Verizon are saying this call was done on a commercial 5G NR network. Ok. Where can I buy this service? I can't. It's more like the Wright turning up a wing and saying "hey guys, here's our plane!b

Re: Well??!
Dan, your comments are kind of like telling the Wright Brothers that they didn't really prove an airplane could fly that day at Kittyhawk because it didn't go Mach 2.  Few if any new innovations start out performing at 100% when first deployed.  As you stated, the standards are not fully established yet.  A few Trial and Errors help develop those standards.

Re: Well??!
It's not running on 5G NR though, they're talking about a data call on a commercial NR network. A service that no one can buy yet in any city.

Re: Well??!
Verizon was able to launch 5G in these first four cities because of forward-looking state policy and local leaders who embraced innovation and developed a strategic vision for how 5G could be a platform to attract new investment, businesses and next generation services for residents..

Re: Well??!
No. You can order Verizon's 5G Home service if you're in the right city/area. Therefore, it's a commercial service

So, you think this is just marketing?

Re: Well??!
I think it's fairly clear, if you can go to a shop or website, order the service and have it connected, then it's commercial. If it's a friendly user trial, not open to the general public, then it's not commercial.
