Re: Ops at the Edge: More Locations, More Problems
Both power supply and capacity are going to be issues. This is why so many more organizations need to be involved in this development, figuring out things from power efficiency to how the wasted space on the roofs of buildings might be better utilized (solar panels can be depoyed in all manner of places, as innovations in countries such as India and in many markets across Africa have shown).

The distributed cloud is going to play a major role in the comms industry but the comms industry alone (and I include the webscale giants, Crown Castles and Equinixs of the world in there too) can't enable it.

I look forward tofinding out how this session went.

Ops at the Edge: More Locations, More Problems
I share your concerns about all these potential locations.  Where is all that electric power going to come from?  How much farmland and National Parks will have to be sacrificed for the solar grid?
