Smart Parking in London
I'm surprised that Google went with not the very best, in my opinion, smart parking sensor vendor. In this specific niche, there are handful companies that actually provide an efficient product. Regarding the surface-mount sensors, only one company provides sensors that are only 0.75" (20mm) high and 99%+ accurate with a battery life of 10 years - Nwave. Other sensors are either lack in accuracy or are too clunky and big.

But nevertheless, it is interesting to see how the whole field of IoT is getting traction in the past couple of years and how top companies such as Google are driving it.
