Never easy
Well it's definitely never easy to anticipate the movement of stock. I guess we always can find something to explain the drop afterwards. In France, we call that the breaking bad effect...because Internet value always turn bad.

IBM's Bounce?
@Mitch, great assessment!

I am working with IBM's cognitive computing, cloud, etc., and see their potential, but it needs a clear structure - as you point out - that will drive sales/revenues for the investors.

Your points about demanding a restructuring and selloff of some of the components may be in the offering?  Maybe following HP?

They clearly can't be all things to all people.  The reality is their sales are driven still by mainframe and their hardware sales.  And they are gaining traction in cloud, AI.  But they are going to have to find a way to advance their models to better take advantage of both.  Maybe they increasingly move to platforms for AI - that would take advantage of their unique capabilities that AWS and Microsoft can as easily fill?
