Noting that Google is generating about $1.4 million in revenue per current employee one might wonder if the resulting savings in personel costs and future savings might be passed along to those folks and those losing jobs as well. and how much expansion of the current "quarter of Internet traffic now" originating from Google might be happening down the road.

Verizon is unionized and how many construction type are real Google employees (versus subcontractors or employees of outsourcers)?

About a quarter of Internet traffic now originates from Google, says Vijoy Pandey, Google's head of engineering for data centers and backbone networks

That some serious YouTube. I wonder if it includes direct peering traffic -- does that count as "Internet" traffic?
