Re: We're all 5G individuals.
Wouldn't surprise me if they are first, but not very good, as you suggest. The question will be if being first (but not good) or coming in later but better will be the best strategy.

TMobile has no mmwave Spectrum Either
5G on 600 will really be the poor mans 5G but Tmobile will tout it as a plus even as they whine for an auction.

Re: We're all 5G individuals.
Well, what is their choice there really? They have no access to mmWave yet?

Re: We're all 5G individuals.
First with Mobile 5G, but certainly not with Gigabit Anywhere is my bet.

Too many spectres have set expectations that 5G is 'Wireless Fibre" so creating a benchmark expectation of 1Gbps/1Gbps. This needs to be carefully managed.

500MHz or 1GHz of mmWave LOS MMIMO can deliver >>1Gbps DL, but that's not what Sprint are doing.

Their current leading customers will experience 3x20MHz TD-LTE and >100Mbps.

Their first 5G customers will experience 100MHz, around 25-40% higher b/Hz and therefore >200Mbps DL. But with FC2 used to achieve this, UL will be only 10-20Mbps.

('4.75G' and '4.9G' 4CA and 5CA FDD customers will regularly be experiencing these speeds and higher.)

Wireless Fibre? Well it sounds so much better than Wireless DOCSIS 3.1

We're all 5G individuals.
"lead in a different way"

LOL. So, as in, not actually leading?

Will their "first" 5G deployment be more like faux-G (as per earlier and ongoing discussions here at Light Reading)? Or will they actually be first, but not do a very good job of it and/or fail to maintain their lead? Or...?

Because everybody's claiming they're going to lead -- each in their own way.

The upshot? Sprint is an individual -- just like everyone else.
