Rethink Customer Service
I am in one of those rare areas with multiple cable providers (in my case, WOW and Comcast). Comcast's lack of customer service has been written about many times, which is one of the reasons I've stayed with WOW. But regardless of the company's other advances, it needs to work more on it's customer service (which has declined sharply in my experience), or it will lose out in the competitive markets.
