Re: Perhaps the weirdest tech conference on the planet
It seems to me that Salesforce Dreamforce competes with ComicCon. Weird is fine. And wanting to stand out is also good. I attend enough conferences and have seen lots of things. But really, asking a few people to dress up in customs and walk around is not really a great effort. I would not give any extra points for this.

Re: Perhaps the weirdest tech conference on the planet
It did seem by the photos that indeed it was pretty weird and colorful with all the seemingly odd themes and characters entertaining the space. But I would guess attendees aren't going to forget the experience and will talk it up for sometime to come...perhaps the goal of any conference planner.

Perhaps the weirdest tech conference on the planet
Some of the pictures look like taken from ComicCon. I am very curious about those monks. Of course being a monk doesn’t mean they have to stay away from technology ... but I never saw a monk attending a tech conference before, so I am curious. And what about those Hawaiian dancers opening the keynote? Finally, I don’t think a pair of Adidas sneakers go well with a suit.
