At the cost " at approximately $2,000 per home passed" it is going to be interesting to see how telcos can monetize the investment in infrastucture and content they would have to provide to come out ahead while competing with so many other content providers.

It's all just a huge race in the content game, and the elements of economic scarcity are highly prevalent. There's only so much good content being produced, and it all has a price. Telcos should buy as much as they can, because it will be worth it.
