You're absolutely right. Strategies need to evolve as industries and technology evolves. In the mid-1990s, Gates said the Internet was a fad...Microsoft's dominance faded quickly after that.

It's part of rolling with an industry that has changed dramatically since Microsoft was king of all things software for business. The rules of engagement are different today, and they will be different going forward. Survival is dependent on these types of changes in strategy.
