IoT will be distributed. There's really no other way to do it. Centralized systems are flawed and IoT is already going to have a number of issues when it comes to security and efficiency.

A more decentralized model is key if you ask me.

A distributed model seems to make the most sense. But the security issue is still an 800-pound gorilla. Distributed security may or may not make the most sense.
