@mhhf1ve They are gaining in that with some accelerator programs set up by China's ShengJing Group.

Supposedly China is getting better about respecting IP laws. I'm not sure if consumer piracy is on the decline, but it wouldn't be surprising to see businesses trying to become better international citizens in order to attract more customers and global partners.

The noted growth rates are certainly impressive. While dealing with the Chinese may be a little scary at the present, nonetheless they have a captive market in China and other friendly governments where their growth should be huge over the coming years.

No one concerned about a Chinese-controlled cloud platform?
I'm wondering if any companies outside China are concerned about using a Chinese cloud provider. Does Alibaba have a reputation for keeping corporate secrets.. secret? In other fields, China is always considered a threat for intellectual property theft, but has that reputation changed or shifted?

Ariella and as this shows the King may have regional relevancy as well! As globalization in tech comes to the forefront tall the players need to be evaluated on a broad basis.

In a nutshell then, AWS is still king of the hill, but there are other clamoring for the same position. Consequently, current king should not grow complacent.
