Telco software business comparisons
Without wishing to add to the Ericsson bashing, from an OSS/BSS perspective their 10% decline in IT & Cloud revenue in the June quarter (driven principally by a decline in their legacy OSS/BSS) was much worse than Nokia's 2% growth in Applications and Analytics (stripping out the impact of the Comptel acquisition).

Nokia's performance is similar to Amdocs and CSG both of which are growing revenue around 3%. But Ericsson's software woes are not unique. Comarch's TMT revenue fell 26% in the March quarter, Redknee's revenue fell 14% and Tecnotree's fell 7%. Meanwhile the service assurance divisions of Spirent and Viavi fell 14% and 18% in the March quarter.

All these companies are scheduled to report their June quarters in August so it remains to be seen if things will stabilize.

Pinata time
This looks like a gratuitous shot at Ericsson, whose difficulties already are being amply documented on this site.
