Skill eveolution
Its a great point about defining teams based on customer needs. We have seen companies hire for a specific tech skill only to downsize those same employees a few years later when that technology becomes antiquated. Hiring a team that has flexible and far-reaching skills that can be trained to learn another architecture or skill should drive the decision. Every tech person needs the training to keep up with new advances they will never have a complete skill set all the time, forecasting that need and change cycle is key to avoid disruptions.
