Re: impressed
Technology services from Amazon will be a whole new revenue stream for them in the future. I think this will be one of many examples of them selling their tech abilities to companies. Their store infrastructure will be soon to come!

Re: impressed
Enterprises will pay for this. I'm sure this is just Amazon offering to businesses what it has already built and want to monetize.

This is how AWS got started, and that certainly worked pretty well.

impressed
I am very impressed at how quickly voice parsing and analysis has progressed. It is much less a source of frustration to "talk" with these systems now. Their much improved programming makes them a useful tool.

B2B and B2C apllicability
It will be interesting to see if it is suited to B2B and B2C soltuions since it was mostly likely developed to serve a B2C environment. The integration with Salesforce will certainly help braoching business markets to use the new model.

Not the first
The shift away from traditional brick-and-mortar contact centres to "contact-centres-as-a-service" has been a trend for a while now - companies like Arise Virtual Solutions have been offering these services for some time, often utilizing homeworkers as freelance contact centre agents.

Amazon certainly aren't the first to do this, but no one will be surprised if they turn out to be the highest quality and/or best value for money!
