Re: Building a Centralized Analytics Team I've been through Agile training and it was very different from anything I'd done before -- I found it challenging. We have a number of courses on Agile and Dev Ops here at Upskill U in the archives, BTW

Re: Building a Centralized Analytics Team Do you provide consultancy services to teams wanting to incorporate analytics and BI to use tools like Splunk, etc.  If so how do they engage you to help build support and perhaps fund the work.....

Re: Building a Centralized Analytics Team Joe you are on a roll with questions!

Re: Building a Centralized Analytics Team And Q4 FOR SARAH (I'm intensely curious on all of this and Sarah's background thoughts, obviously):

In terms of demand changing from "I need this field" to more strategic requests to guide business change, can you give more specifics/some case studies/examples?

Q5 FOR SARAH:

In terms of your discussion of "organizatoinal structure," there is ongoing debate as to whose role data governance should be.  Some say it should lie with the CDO (because "data" is in the title).  Others say it should lie with the stakeholders so that they'll keep their own rooms clean, so to speak.   And others say it should lie with other roles altogether.  Where do you stand, and why?

Re: Building a Centralized Analytics Team Yes, have done the transition from Waterfall to Agile. Be open to adopting and evolving.

Re: Building a Centralized Analytics Team Good point that it's really important to establish trust to work through those changes.

Re: Building a Centralized Analytics Team Anyone start with a waterfall method and move to a different style? are you in the midst of that change?
