Compelling
The convenience of cloud-based enterprise service is too compelling to ignore. The costs seem to be dropping, or at least it seems that way from my involvement so far. Even home networks and student accounts (including textbooks) are moving rapidly to the cloud.

"We've already got a downpour of great content ("downpour"? did you see what we did there?)"

*Thunderous applause*

(Hah!)

Well, the site just started, so don't use up all the cloud puns right away, lest you suffer a drought.

Of course, asking for another good one like that is like expecting lightning to strike twice.

I'll leave now.

Re: Cloud vs. Services
Hi, Daniel! Welcome to Enterprise Cloud News.

Amazon is betting everything will go to public clooud. It remains to be seen whether that happens.

Certainly, I expect all new ("greenfield") apps and many brownfield apps will move to public, private, or hybrid cloud.

Cloud vs. Services
Great intro. I think what we're seeing is the "serviceization" of the cloud. Where we once saw Google and Microsoft moving email to the cloud, now we're experiencing a move to everything: Servers, databases and applications.

Exciting times!
