Re: Microsoft adn Qualcomm
It will indeed be interesting to watch how the new chip is introduced later as noted that "the 10-nm Centriq 2400 chips from Qualcomm will be commercially available later this year." That should make for some speedy applications expecially upon the growth of the IoT market.

@Scott I see. We'll have to wait and watch for developments then.

Re: Microsoft adn Qualcomm
@Ariella: Well, the notion that we got from the announcement is that it was being tested, internally. I'm sure Microsoft does use Azure for it's own purposes, and are testing it. Now, why they announce before commercial vialbility, I can't say. It's a pattern in the industry. I will not that Microsoft did a number of announcements at the show, including a partnership with AMD for x86.

Re: Microsoft adn Qualcomm
@Scott It is smarter to test thoroughly before bringing it to market rather than make announcement before the product is ready for prime time.

Re: Microsoft adn Qualcomm
I think Microsoft will bring this to the commercial market. I don't think it's ready for a prime time or to move it to the full Azure platform. I think it will require a lot of testing.

Microsoft adn Qualcomm
<Neither Microsoft nor Qualcomm announced when they would make these ARM-based systems commercial available to Azure users.>

Do you think that means that they won't? Or do you think they just don't wish to announce it yet?
