I'd bet you're right about that. For fixed I have to think pricing pressure in many areas won't be great, given their biggest competitor is capped and pricey satellite broadband service.

Well it'll be islands of 5G coverage to begin with at least. I bet they'll try something akin to triple play bundling pricing for fixed 5G.

Yeah I was thinking closer to 2020, so hopefully you're right! I'd be very curious if the improved capacity results in unlimited being the norm. Or if megamergers lower competitive pressures and bring us right back to steep $15 per GB overage land...

All 4 US carriers offer unlimited plans on LTE now. I doubt we'll have any idea of types of caps on 5G till 2018 earliest.

At some point one of these companies will actually deliver something vaguely resembling and actual next-gen product and we can finally get an answer to the million dollar question: what kind of usage caps if any will we see on next-gen wireless, and at what price?
