Re: Basing a strategy on a survey seems ludicrous? Generally true, but it's not as if Avaya is building a new product/service based on a survey. The company can already do segmentation and is already recommending it. Avaya explained they're using the survey results simply to guide them on which category of applications to initially focus on.

If you want to argue that the survey is encouraging Avaya to promote something that you don't think is useful, that's another thing, and we'd be happy to hear your thoughts on the subject.

Basing a strategy on a survey seems ludicrous? Surveys are so flawed that it's hard to know where to start - most industry executives have figured this out.
