Re: Example of fixed wireless
Actually, we are targeting major urban centers more than digital divide areas.  We are competing head to head with other telco operators in all of our cities.  Since we have 84 Mhz of dedicated spectrum at 3.5 Ghz we are able to deliver an LTE product that is similar to FTTC speeds.  We will be officially launching service in the center of Rome in September, but have already launched our service in many of Italy's largest cities like Palermo, Naples, Turin, Bari, Brescia and Genoa to name a few.

Re: Example of fixed wireless
Thanks for the comment j1414. I assume at Linkem are you mainly targeting underserved areas that get poor or no wireline service? Are you competing directly with wireline access anywhere?

Example of fixed wireless
Thank you for your article. I am vice chairman of a company called Linkem (www.linkem.com) and we are doing exactly what you outlined in Italy using 3.5Ghz licensed spectrum. Today we have 360k subs across the country and cover more than 50% of the population. In addition, we are just about to officially launch service in Rome. With enough frequency, today's LTE technology can provide similar service to FTTn solutions.
