Re: power consumption benchmarks? Cavium says the ThunderX2 SOCs have dynamic power management (managing for workloads, lower power drawn during idle times, etc.). So the company is claiming ThunderX will be more power efficient than ThunderX. Moving to the 14nm node will also naturally consume less power (the company says ~30% less). How that stacks against Intel? Don't know. I'll invite Cavium to weigh in.

power consumption benchmarks? what about power consumption benchmarks between Cavium and Intel architectures, especially in the data center deployment scenario ?
