In the latest evidence of that strategy, Casa Systems Inc. is showing off two new edge products at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this week. Both products are aimed at demonstrating that Casa, a Boston-based startup that's off to a strong early start in the emerging Converged Cable Access Platform (CCAP) market, also intends to be a player in the swiftly growing mobile market as providers prepare for 5G technology and the "ultra-broadband" era. Casa provides security and management tools for service providers.

QoS -> Network Slicing
Network Slicing sounds like an evolution of QoS. If virtualization can help reduce the number of nodes between the end user and application server, then the overall architecture gets simplified.
