Although it may be so, but it the penetration depends on where one is.     If we are to reach our full potential, we still have mountains to climb--don't we?

I bet you'd see the states not too far along on this front either. While there's a lot of hype about gigabit speeds here, most of the deployments are in very limited, scattered high-end development communities where fiber was already in the ground. I'd wonder if gigabit speeds are even available to 2% of the US population yet.

Gigabit services are available, that's for sure, but how popular they are and what he business case for offering them is... that's the kind of topic we'll be diving into at the Gigabit Europe event in Munich (Sept 29 + 30)
