I'm wondering about the gigabit service to small town Kentucky. That's really  a contrast to the usual big city plan for super high speed service. I would have to guess someone is subsidizing that small town service big time. Or maybe it's actually just a plan, and never will be built?

Well, CenturyLink acquired Qwest, who ran one of the oldest IPTV platforms in the country. Sort of the same thing?

Century has been trialing and then deploying IPTV for about a decade on a limited scale.

Apparently it's still hard to get in the door without TV as part of the bundle.

Cost...
I'm curious to see companies like CenturyLink continue a video push. I'd thought that the returns on cable TV were incredibly low due to high programming costs, made higher for companies without scale.

While the IPTV platform makes some sense, not sure I'd place any big bets on CenturyLink's over the  top TV platform taking off.
