Well, it's not that your data is going to disappear. Google has backup data centers. There is nothing Google can do about lightning. -Susan

Lightening strike
Lightening strike in the vicinity four times!!! Does that make Google unlucky? Like Walmart, Hyperstar and Metro, when you are in so many places in the world any lightening strike anywhere in the world is not very far from you

It is a good think that Google's data is replicated accross the globe with a replication made on each continent.
