Re: 1 + 1 = ?
It will be interesting to see if consumers benefit ultimately by the varieties of service from AT&T acquisitions or wll the subscription fee creep up slowly and surely as the giant companies become what is esssentially a local monopoly in their markets.

Re: 1 + 1 = ?
It seems as though both AT&T and Verizon are moving into video. I'm not surprised, as both companies have the ability to push a ton of content to a lot of devices.

This is what really differentiates AT&T and Verizon from other wireless carriers in the US – and one of the reasons why they continue to pull away from the rest of the competition.

Re: 1 + 1 = ?
Other than porting over some U-verse video subs to DirecTV (which might free up some fixed broadband for OTT video, but only if that's a forced migration of an entire market), it's hard to see how clamping these services together results in anything new that would suggest a "mobile video moment."

Re: 1 + 1 = ?
Interesting equation, right? They seem to be counting on the scale of a combined AT&T/DirecTV to extend presence across both services and then converge them together.

1 + 1 = ?
Mari -- It's unclear how simply grafting a satellite video service into AT&T's portfolio leads to multiscreen nirvana.
