And not just size. The weather in Sri Lanka is much favorable to have any-time maintenance and to roll out last miles for FTTH or FTTB. In Canada winters are a non-season for this type of work leaving very few hours of daylight.

Sounds like a big undertaking, but I think increasing fiber deployments is necessary to keep up with other countries around the work.

Places like Singapore have ridiculously fast speeds, although that country benefits from having a much smaller geographic footprint versus Canada, which can only do fiber deployments in cities.

What a mega project Bell Canada has undertaken! When Rogers follow, the prices would surely come down. But what's the current broadband adoption rate?

Also, where does Canada stand in terms of:

- Comparison with development in US?

- Consumer/Industry Demand/potential?
