Kind of a big deal
This is kind of a big deal for Arista. The cloud providers who are primary customers for them aren't small potatoes -- Microsoft Azure is the most well-known.

However, the reliance on a few so-called "cloud titans" means that Arista's revenue is vulnerable to a small number of big customers. The AT&T contract, if it materializes, opens the door to another new customer base and adds significantly to Arista's already high credibility.

The white box debate
Intersting to see where white box tech will emerge in telco networks - is it just too early for an AT&T/Tier 1 to embrace white boxes in its data centers? Is it only a matter of time?

Or is it the next gen central office where white boxes will take hold for fixed line giants?
