Re: cannibalize
@kq4ym: double speak, political correctness, spinning the argument and the like are so rampant that it gets very difficult to get to the truth. Bending the truth is no longer considered bad.

Re: cannibalize
It's always interesting to see how execs and politicians usually respond to questions with other than straight yes or no and most usually with answers that have nothing to do with the question at all. Refreshing to hear these responses although in some cases there's a lot of hedging and opinion which we can't always take to the bank.

Cord-cutting
Dish's Khemka raises an interesting point about cord-cutting.

Another issue to consider is time spent building a cord-cutting setup. In today's economy, people seem to be either underemployed with too much time on their hands and not enough money, or overworked. Nobody seems to have a mere full-time job anymore.

The underemployed have the time to figure out which programs are avaialble on which services and to piece together a package that lets them watch their programs. However, people with jobs are busy, and it's overwhelming to figure out all that when all you want to do is sit down at the end of a long, tiring day and watch JUSTIFIED (basic cable) and GAME OF THRONES (HBO). Easier to just pay the cable bill -- even if it's more than you'd pay for cord-cutting -- and let the cable company worry about it. Or the satellite company.

cannibalize
> But better Dish cannibalize its existing revenues than someone else does This is what successful companies like Apple and Google do. Many companies dont understand this. Good to see that Dish does.
