The biggest change in decades
It's true that OSS will need to transform to accommodate NFV. It is going to be the biggest shift in decades.

Many service providers are recognizing this issue, along with the cultural implications of network virtualization, as they begin to deploy VNFs. TM Forum has received unprecedented interest this year in our Catalyst program to help come up with solutions to the challenges of NFV - including security orchestration for NFV, network-as-a-service, multi-cloud orchestration, operational implications of rolling out vCPE, closed-loop processes - to mention only a few. We can clearly see a shift from testing initial assumptions and establishing a foundation towards solving some of the key issues involved with a focus on adoption.

Hopefully, these efforts will help create some structure around NFV and MANO to help operators streamline these deployments. Those interested in learning more are welcome to attend TM Forum LIVE! where conversations will be held regarding the achievements the members have made in solving industry pinpoints. As well as hosting a webinar on March 4th where we will discuss "Is NFV ready to cross the chasm?".

Hope to see you and many more interested in this space in Barcelona!
