So Nuage reports directly to the CEO then?

Re: What about Nuage?
Nuage is an autonomous unit, a separate operation.

Update coming on what Gorti does and does not have control of.

What about Nuage?
Will the Nuage business report in to Gorti? Nuage is SDN rather than NFV but the two often travel together.

Gort
Gorti comes with quite an experience from Oracle. Telecom vendors can learn a lot from software vendors. From that perspective, Gorti can add a lot of value.

Eds, can an interview be arranged from Gorti for Light Reading board?

Opinion is divided
Opinion within the company is pretty divided. One colleague is ex-Oracle CGBU and is adament, "anyone who's met him knows he'll never know Shift". Meanwhile management are painting a very rosy picture, telling us: "Bhaskar knows what we need to do inside out. In fact, you could say he already has Shift for brains". I heard both these over a conference call so may have got a word mixed up here or there.
