A T-Mobile spokeswoman tells us:

"We're doing this to benefit our customers. Music Freedom is open to all licensed and lawful music streaming services.  You can count on us to continue expanding the program until we eventually have ALL music services represented —including those suggested by our customers, and those that have asked to be added to our program. Additionally, we aren't getting paid by any of the music services to do this and this is not a sponsored-data offering."
