Regarding Juniper not having much to lose, don't you think they would want to get their SDN controller and upcoming virtual router in Verizon's data centers? Also, wondering if they continue to support Juno OS whether that will hurt them since the buzz going forward seems to be Linux.

100G or high density 40G would have to play a role for a current or near-term datacenter deployment and as of now there is no white label switch with 100G support.   I would agree it is firmly in the POC stages, I cant see building a production network today on what is available in 3rd party white label switches.  If you are developing your own NOS and/or hardware it might be a viable option.

Keep in mind Verizon uses Juniper and other vendors in the higher speed parts of their networks which are already Nx100G.  Juniper isnt particularly strong in datacenter so I don't know if they have much to lose with this.
