Re: Adding Customers not Enough
My guess is both...the market in China is huge so it would be nice to know in percentages how much ofthe population currently is using mobile phones period and then a break down from there.  Given that the majority of China lacked landlines, they went directly to mobile so I would expect pretty good market penetration.

Re: Adding Customers not Enough
Are they new comers or users simply migrating to 4g?(in both cases, figures are still considerable).

Re: Adding Customers not Enough
I am with you Phil.  It is impossible to corroborate these numbers but the reality is that it doesn't really matter anyway.  Since they are using their own homegrown standard, competition is limited and it is really just up to the handset manufacturers to decide if they want to support it. Obviously Apple is and others will as well.  Let's just hope that one day they drop the firewall restrictions so that the users can really take advantage of what their network has to offer.

Adding Customers not Enough
China Mobile may have added that many more customers? But at a profit (or at a short-term acceptable loss?) Who knows? Financial reporting from Chinese companies is iffy at best.
