Wireless Anyone?
At such short distances, couldn't low density suburban settings use some form of WiFi?  I'd really prefer the cable company use WiFi from the pedestal instead of incurring the cost of replacing the line everytime someone complains about problems with their service.  Trying to transmit 500mhz over UTP would seem just inviting lots of new runs from the curb just like the cable companies do with their coax.
